Christmas Movies you might like too!

1. The Santa Clause, this movie stars Tim Allen .He manages to kill Santa on Christmas Eve of all nights. Next thing he knows he has started to gain some weight and grow a white beard. His ex wife thinks he's playing these tricks to get in good with his son. Except his son knows all about what happened and is thrilled to have Santa for a dad. To me.... this is one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time!!!! a great family movie and should be watched every year.

2.The Santa Clause 2,  we find Santa (Tim Allen) needing to find a wife or he will no longer be Santa. He has until Christmas Eve to make some lucky woman Mrs. Clause, but that isn't his only problem. He finds his son has landed on the naughty list and must make things right with him. While Santa is away tending to his son the replacement Santa he left to keep things in order at the north pole has started making changes that could ruin Christmas for everyone. This is not as good as the first but it's really pretty good!!!

3.National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, in this great Christmas movie we find the Griswold's preparing for a family Christmas when they're rude obnoxious relatives show up unannounced. If you are familiar with the expression if it wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all this fits Chevy chase's character to a T. Everything he tries to do goes wrong. He is depending on the bonus check at work to make his family Christmas extra special and when he finds out the check isn't coming things go from bad to worse. This movie is one of the funniest holiday films out there. This is a must for any Christmas movie fan.

  4. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, This is great addition to anyone who loves Christmas movies collection. Jim Carey does an excellent job of playing the Grinch. The story is a little different then the Dr. Seuss book but it's a great tale of how the Grinch learned to love Christmas again. Complete with all of the Who's from WhoVille. The movie also includes some great holiday music as well.

5.A Charlie Brown Christmas, who doesn't remember the sorry looking Christmas tree that Charlie Brown had? This movie is great for Christmas movie fans, it reminds them to think of the true meaning of Christmas. Kids of all ages will enjoy seeing Charlie Brown direct the school Christmas pageant.

  6. Christmas with the Kranks, this has already became a tradition in our house. The Kranks decide since their daughter isn't going to be home for Christmas that they will just skip it and go on a cruise. This doesn't set well with the neighbors, after all the Kranks host a great neighborhood party every year. The neighbors become even more angered when they find out the Kranks will not be decorating their house either. This Christmas movie is hilarious; it stars Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. They could not of cast any better actors for the movie. When they get a call that their daughter will be home for Christmas they have to hurry and get the party together. Can you imagine trying to find food for the party on Christmas Eve? That is just what Jamie Lee Curtis has to do. If you know someone that enjoys watching Christmas movies all year long this is the one to get them.

  7. Surviving Christmas, another great movie to add to the holiday collection. This movie stars Ben Affleck as an executive that is to concerned with his career to have any family or friends. He decides he wants to go back to the house he grew up in this year for Christmas. When he gets there he discovers someone else living in it. So he pays the family to let him spend Christmas with them. There are several comical parts to this Christmas movie. The family he joins has some issues of their own and in the end things seem to have a way of working out for everyone.

"The Twelve Days of Christmas"

"The Twelve Days of Christmas" is heard everywhere from shopping malls to television commercials to church functions. Everywhere you go, you can hear the song……. But what does any of this mean? What does a song about doves, hens and geese have to do with Christmas?

The carol has its roots in 18th-century England, as a memory-and-forfeit game sung by British children. In the game, players had to remember all of the previous verses and add a new verse at the end. Those unable to remember a verse paid a forfeit, in the form of a kiss or a piece of candy to the others.
One theory, however, connects the carol to the era when Catholicism was outlawed in England, from 1558 and 1829. The carol, it is said, was a catechism song for Catholics to learn "the tenets of their faith," as they could not openly practice in Anglican society . While many still hold the idea of a coded hymn to be true, there's no substantive evidence that this was the case, nor is there any evidence that the verses contain anything uniquely Catholic.
Here are the verses of the song, along with their supposed symbolism:
•A Partridge in a Pear Tree - Jesus Christ
•Two Turtle Doves - The Old and New Testaments
•Three French Hens - The three virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity
•Four Calling/Collie Birds - Four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
•Five Golden Rings - First five books of the Old Testament
•Six Geese-a-Laying - Six days of creation before God's rest on the seventh day
•Seven Swans-a-Swimming - Seven gifts of the Holy Spirit
•Eight Maids-a-Milking - Eight Beatitudes
•Nine Ladies Dancing - Nine fruits of the Holy Spirit
•Ten Lords-a-Leaping - Ten Commandments
•Eleven Pipers Piping - Eleven faithful disciples
•Twelve Drummers Drumming -Twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed
While these verses are what most of us associate with the "Twelve Days of Christmas," the phrase refers to an actual 12-day period. The 12 days of Christmas, in fact, are the days from Dec. 25, celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ, to the Epiphany, celebrated on Jan. 6 as the day when the manifestation of Christ's glory was realized.
While sects of Christianity celebrate the 12 days of Christmas differently, certain ones, such as the Eastern Orthodox Church, consider the Epiphany to be the most important day of the Christmas season. Some exchange gifts on each of the 12 days instead of only on Christmas day.

CX business on promo

I was so happy when I saw that CX- Cathay Pacific has this promotion on business class seats at slightly less than $2000- for tickets to Osaka. That's great !!!! abt 50% less than normal prices. But must travel by 31 march 2013- that's fine.....

It's a promo tie with UOB bank. Call the bank. Oh no..... we have to transist in HKG before catching another flight to Osaka.

Celest was saying since we are doing business class , why do we want to do this transit flights thingie... well she has a point. Already paid so much, it should be direct flight....sigh.... back to drawing board & wait for better deal maybe from SQ!!!!

Good news????

My buddy in the tourism line just told me a piece of good news. OK I wouldn't say it's that good. It really depends on who sees it, from which perspective.

From mine is all good, but hey.. one shouldn't be so self centred right, we should spare a thought for others. Anyway it's about my trip to Japan obviously. Now my mind is all about it...hahha.... I'm sure everyone know by now there's a row between Japan & China right, over a territorial dispute- that's the nationalisation of 3 of the disputed islands known as Senkaku in Japan & Diayu in China.

Japan's tourism has been plunging since the earthquake, tsunami, Fukushima nuclear disaster. Now cancellation of Chinese tour groups to Japan due to anti-japan protests that has been erupting all over China due to this territorial row.

One Hotel (the Tominoko Hotel)  that is located around the Lake Kawaguchiko  at the foot of Mt Fuji reported a cancellation of 90% of reservations by Chinese tourists for recent months.

If it happens to them, it could happen to other hotels too right? And according to my buddy, I could get a good deal...hmmmm... really????

I've check the Internet, no discount leh????

Celest decide on Hakone Onsen

Now have to do some research on tis place. Anyone been there before?

Hakone
Hakone is one of the most popular sightseeing areas in Japan. With Mt. Fuji as its backdrop and featuring Ashino-ko Lake, intriguing museums and traditional hotels and ryokans, Hakone's varied geographical feaures and famous hot springs (onsens) are must experiences for all travelers.

History
Since the Meiji Period, Hakone has been a hot spring resort area for domestic and overseas tourists.

During the Edo Period, Hakone prospered as a bridge town connecting the east and west of Japan. It was one of the fifty-three Tokaido stations operating from Edo Nihombashi in Tokyo to Sanjou-oohashi in Kyoto.

Prominent visitors to the area have included the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Helen Keller. With one of the most famous hot spring resort areas and amazing views of Mt. Fuji, Hakone is a must-experience destination for tourists from around the world.

haha... my initial research, no wonder Celest wanted to go there.... it's the draw of  Mt Fuji.....

Hot Springs I'm considering.

Hakone Onsen

Easily reached from Tokyo and one of Japan's most popular hot spring resorts, Hakone boasts a large number of hot springs in beautiful setting along the forested valley and the shores of Lake Ashinoko.

 Arima Onsen

Located still within the city limits of Kobe and just an hour outside of central Osaka, Arima Onsen is one of the Kansai Region's most popular hot spring resorts. It is also one of its oldest.

 Kurokawa Onsen

Kurokawa Onsen is one of Japan's best hot spring resorts, both in terms of its pretty, traditional town center and its outstanding outdoor baths.

Oops I make a mistake .....

Yesterday a buddy of mine called me up early in the morning & tell me we are going to meet for drinks. Huh? What's the occasion? She said we'll talk later. This could only mean one thing- nothing good is happening!

We met at our usual place & from far I saw an addition person. Hmmm... looks familiar. Ok, it's her
sister & woh.... she's pregnant. Goodness she cant be more than 21. Anyway the emergency is obvious now. So ...... what are they doing? I saw the sister sipping a drink, it looks like a cocktail. I cant help, imaging the alcohol crossing the placenta wall, damaging brain cells, reducing the unborn child from a future A student to dropout who would also be a single mum. See the sister used to be the A student! Oops they caught me starring!

Very shyly the sister admit she has put on more than 10kg since she left for UK for studies. Now she wanted to ask me if  my doctor has panbesy or duromine? Oh wow........ that's close, I didn't tell them what went on in my mind awhile ago. We ended up drinking more & I gave her my doc's contacts. This afternoon the sister has gone to get some panbesy & duromine for weight loss. What a relief !!!

My final jab & off to Hot springs???

Finally done my final jab & finished my package. It's rather sad , it's like the end of an adventure....haha.... hmm... I'm thinking should I come back for maintenance, well  I'll come back if Celest does. It's not expensive anyway, And my skin did improve-

Celest said we should go to those hot springs in Japan.

Hmmmm..... I'm thinking not a bad idea. Autumn is coming, we can start planning to go Japan for that. I love Japan. The food there is excellent. I believe the best food is in Japan, seriously I do!

Cheek Filler & Nose Fillers with Dr Keith Ong !!!! Nice !!!

I was too busy this month so I’m late for my 5th Vit C  jab.  Celest has already done her 6th jab! She said she could have drank all the jabs at one go  if it’s allowed….lol………  I was early at the clinic, Dr Keith has not arrived yet. Talked to the nurses a bit about fillers & it's instant effect.…tempting...lol
When Dr Keith came in, I told him I’m ready for my nose filler. He laughed & ask me ..am I sure, not waiting for Celest ????? Oh boy… told him, I decided to do today precisely because she’s not there!!!!!! He laughed…..
See even the cat is happy for me...lol...
And before I know it, the nose filler is done- completed!!!!  He handed  me a mirror & I looked at my reflection. At that moment I was wondering why in the world I didn’t do this earlier??????? I’m serious, my looks improved  !!!!!!!!!!  I don’t really understand why a slightly higher nose can make such a difference. Cant wait to tell Celest. Next could be cheek filler ...haha...
I called her & she said she’ll never forgive me for not doing it with her around!!! She wanted so badly to witness. Now I owe her a dinner!!!!

Celeste started asking Dr Keith about botox & fillers... “FOR ME” …. Ya right!!!!

28/7/2012

Fourth day after my 2nd jab - Saturday,  Celeste & me took an off day  for lunch & shopping later after my 3rd whitening jab. Good news!!!!!There’s a mark improvement on both our skin tone.

After Dr Keith had given us our 3rd jab, Celeste started asking Dr Keith about botox & fillers…….. “FOR ME” ….  Ya right!!!! It’s more of for herself!!! She has been talking about a higher nose, sharper chin, smaller face… my only problem is my droopy eye lid- which come to think of it, is not such a big deal.

Thank Goodness DR Keith is very nice & explained to us / or her especially all the details slowly & patiently & ask us to go back to think carefully… …. We’ll go back & do that, we told him. If not for our lunch appointment with some friends, I’m 100% SURE Celeste would have been “transformed”  by now .......hahha……!!!!!

Rush down to Parsons Medical for my 2nd Vit C jab !!!

24/7/2012

This is the 3rd day after my 1st jab. Rushed down to the Parsons Medical after work. Thank goodness they open at night, more convenient to very hard working people like me....lol.....!

Remember Celest? The one who shared my package? Seriously I cant believe she'll stood me up today! Guess what she did? She took a few hrs off in the morning & came to have the jab before me, without telling me!. She did it, came back to the office & show me her brand new "radiance"! In her own defense , she said I had wanted to come at night, & she has a HOT dinner date, so she badly needed the "boost" from the jab to look Fab for the new beau!!!! I give up!

Anyway reach the clinic, had to wait today as there are some people before me. Spend my time smsing Celest to report on the 'going-ons' @ Parsons Medical - , well her date is late anyway so she might as well talk to me! right?

-some construction at a shop here by,
- a Porsche drove pass
- some people practicing line dancing near-by.....cute
-few more patients walk in.
-by now celest is begging me to stop ....hahhaa.....

Line dancing....???
OK..... my turn, same routine.... DR Keith prepared the Vit C jab, I looked at how he jab my hand. He mentioned that alot of girls will look away at that instant. Haha.... so does it mean I'm SPECIAL ????? Before I know it, it's over... so fast & no pain. Celest had told me she bought some oral sunblock from him, so I ask about that, it's call Fernblock, I got one too to try.
I ask him about my asymmetrical face, rather my eyes. One is BIG the other is kinda small because my lid is kinda drooping down. I don't know when it happen or how!!!! Celest said I've to do something about that or my fairness will all go to waste! ..........will continue later....

First Vit C injection with Dr Keith Ong

21/7/2012, Saturday morning.
Celest drove me there as she is interested also. Had been thinking of spicing up my life  a little-  time to do something NICE for myself for once. Celest agree!

Arrive on the dot at 9am! By the time i finish registering at the counter, Dr Keith walks in- Hmm.... sort of young, Good! I don't want some old men giving me injections- hands might shake ...haha..... Also what do old men know about beauty? Imagine talking to someone like my dad about beauty....fainted .....lol....

Here's the account of the consultation:  Dr Keith explain..... all went quite well. Ask Dr. whether I can have double dose of the Vit C injection to speed up the effects. Celest pretended to look shock.... !!!! He laughed....& said that's the second time he was ask! Someone yesterday ask him the same thing!
Enough of that... back to my jab! Dr Keith explain, I can have another Vit C injection 3 days later, that'll speed up the process.  Celest agree it's the best..lol... Dr Keith gave me the jab. No pain as the blogger Rose promised. "Rose's Blog"

And then...YES !!!!!!!! I see the whitening effect , Celest eyes almost pop out! It's crazy how it happens, My right hand turns slowly whiter! Celest immediately wanted to share the package with me, she wants the jab immediately ! Dr Keith says ok, we can share....yay......  Package is $1000- for 6 jabs.

Her turn, hmmm.... I think my effect is better than hers, but she disagree.... we always disagree on everything anyway! DR Keith told us, it'll take more than 1 jab, as the effect will evens out after a while. I know.... I've read about that! BUT who cares now, I've seen for myself it WORKS!!!! Cant wait for my next jab! " A Study about Vit C"

Recieve complain letter!

Hot hot hot morning. Recieve 1 complain letter & I have to deal just because someone was rude to customer! I must get to the bottom of who's pissing the customers off. Boss not happy

Contuine... 2 days later
Of course this is not the letter,
just want to post something that looks cute in my blog:)

First thing I did was of course to call the customer & listen to what he has to say! Sigh... this is a thankless job! Customer was really mad... ok I cant disclose the details here but what I can say is, if I'm in his shoes I would have told my colleague off!

Again it's always the same person! He's in his late 40s, (I've nothing against people in their 40s or 50s or even 60s) all my bosses are at these age ranges plus tons of other colleagues as well. But this particular guy is problematic. I wrote my report & pity my boss who has to really deal with him!

How many sms do you sent your bestie per day?

Went orchard, went ikea,  went bedok reservoir,  saw clement , hectic day

Made about 30 sms to celest.

Celest is my bestie. The average sms to each other each day is around that no. We know each other since we were 4 maybe....lol...... I know everything about her.

She knows everything about me too. Some people think that we are twins even though we dont even look alike. But I guess we speak the same way, speak abt the same things.

Our views are quite similar but when it comes to boys we are worlds apart .....lol.... I'll elaborate one day!

Celest & her Boy Friend!

Celest argue with her bf...AGAIN!!!

Finally have time to go into details........

OK .... morning she called me & told me she found evidence he has been cheating! What cheat on her? Why would he do that? Not in a million years would he find someone like her again! She's smart beautiful has great charisma & she's my bestie.

Betraying her is like betraying me. Now it's my turn to get mad! Agreed to meet up for lunch to strategizes .

We end up have a great lunch & decide he's not good enough for her. But I know it hurts to be the one who is being cheated on. We must teach him a lesson.....lol.... will plan later...
