How to deal with Ex-boyfriends , ex-relationships ?

Last week end I recieved this sms from a friend ...lol... It's so cute I thought I share it with you. She had bump into her X during someone's house warming party. Obviously being together for so long people do get to acquire many "mutual" friends along the way. And when a couple split up you will naturally bump into each other sometimes during some of these occasions. Only way to deal with it is to -let go- I guess. Or treat it as if you were drunk the entire time ....lol....

I cant wait for August to arrive. I'm going for a well deserved trip to Central Japan. I know that's not the best time to visit as it could get pretty warm. But I miss Japan & I have a shopping list that's like a mile's long.

Since a video about 'toxic chopsticks from China ' has gone viral - (among my colleagues at least), everyone has put in an order for me to get them authentic "made-in Japan chopsticks" ! Can you imagine that? The order is growing by the minute now ....lol... The latest order came from cleaning auntie , she ordered 10 sets for her children & family too !

This trip gonna be interesting - Celest was asking, why cant they just buy them from Isetan, Taka or Daiso here? I don't know. But I don't mind , it's fun:) At least I'll be able to bring back souvenirs that people truly wanted -for once !!!!

Should I get a Washer Dryer?

Celest my BFF has just gotten a new dryer & she has been going non-stop about it! How her towels turn out, warm & fluffy after being dried in the dryer. How easy it is, no unsightly clothes hanging everywhere etc....

To be frank, I'm a little swayed. But household matters are not my 'department' at home. I run that idea by my mum & she went non-stop about how the dryer will shrink good clothes, waste electricity, environmental unfriendly & do we even have space for it?

Oh well.... it's just a thought. And I'm not doing the laundry anyway. But the fluffy bath towels ....hmmm.... I would really like that :)

GoodBye Mr Lee Kuan Yew, you'll be remembered always......

We all know this will happen, when we started seeing Mr LKY looking frail a while back. But when it finally happen, it still took us by surprise. Rather, just didnt want to believe it happened. We are just too used to having him. He has been around since day 1- our Founding Father. The One who made it possible !

Boy... certainly reminds us of our own mortality & humanity. I looked at my own parents & hope they never fall ill :(( It's just so sad to be thinking of all these.

Reminds me of the Buddha story, how his father the King had 'tried' to protect him from seeing the old, sick & dead. It makes sense now. So sad !

My advice : Dont work too fast if you are very good at your job!

Boss popped over this morning to check how I was getting on with my brochure. Guess what, he was suppose to see it next Friday. I've worked on it throughout Christmas & New year ,suppose to relax these few days! Anyway I printed it out & show him. He skimmed through it & said -  (this is really punchy )- (we should fire this off now , get ahead of ourselves )... I was thinking oh NO......

So now I've got to find something else to do for the rest of next week, in case he comes over for any more impromptu meetings.

Please be careful when eating traditional glutinous "mochi" rice cakes.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but 9 people have choked to death in Japan after eating traditional glutinous "mochi" rice cakes to celebrate the New Year.

In Tokyo alone, 18 people were sent to hospital due to suffocation after eating the New Year delicacy, and three of them died. The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper said the death toll from rice cake accidents reached nine by Friday across the nation and 13 others were in a serious condition.

During the New Year period, one of Japan's biggest holidays, families traditionally cook "ozouni" soup and put the sticky rice cakes in the vegetable broth. Authorities are advising people especially the elderly and infants, to cut mochi into small pieces before eating it. Every year, several Japanese die after choking on rice cakes.
